Bad Ronald (1974)

Above average TV movie where loner Ronald kills a young girl by mistake and walls himself up in a spare bedroom with the help of his mother to avoid persecution. When his mother dies and leaves him behind to fend for himself, he falls deeper and deeper into a fantastic psychosis, and attacks the new family that moves into the house. Very 70s TV acting, but Jacoby is particularly good as Ronald and the film offers a fun and original twist on the Psycho formula. Not much action or gore, but the plot maintains interest, recommended to Hitchcock and De Palma fans.

Rating: 7/10.
