Spookies (1986)

A surprising 80s gem with very ambitious makeup and effects work for such a relatively unknown film. A group of teens are killed off by a sorceror that needs blood sacrifices to restore his bride. The plot may take from Phantasm, Night of the Demons, The Gate, and others, but it is a fun and dark kids horror flick. The creature effects take center stage over the plot, with awesome looking zombies, lycanthropes, and wraiths stalking the halls of the mansion. A great 80s effort thats highly recommended!
