Teen Wolf (1985)

If I had to sum up the 80s, I could do so in two words - Teen Wolf. Synthesized music, tacky clothing, montages, awesome over the top acting and plot, this movie has it all. With original makeup work and stolen effects, the horror elements function very well while keeping it lighthearted and fun. Michael J Fox is at his usual dorky/cool best, and each of the other stereotypes play into their roles perfectly. A highschool loser rises to the top of the class when he learns his family's hairy secret. Must-see 80s classic!
