The Ruins (2007)

Much better than expected, turning a simple plot into a creepy and bloody mess! A group of tourists visit a Mayan temple off the beaten path, only to fall prey to its ancient secret that the natives will kill to maintain. When the local foliage comes to life, the group must hack off limbs, perform surgery with a buck knife, and escape the natives' arrows to survive. Decent acting, nasty physical FX, and an original plot that will get under your skin. Recommended!
