I forgot about this episode, but it is absolutely one of the best in the series! Black comedy at its best, with winning performances by Lovitz and Astin.

Great episode. It was fun to see 'The Jeffersons' Mr. Bentley (Paul Benedict) as one of the crazies. I have a good sized stack of various EC reprints and it's interesting to see the differences from the original stories to what ended up on screen.
ReplyDeleteI would say he put in my favorite performance in the episode, I just couldnt remember where I had seen him before! I would love to get recreations of all of the old EC comics, they are on the christmas list for sure
ReplyDeleteHere you go, Carl!

I only bought the single issue reprints but have yet to pick up these in sets. I've seen them in comic shops. They're very nice and cheaper at amazon than if you got them in a shop somewhere.
Sweeet, I conveniently emailed her that link telling her how cool they were lol..
ReplyDeleteI've never held an original EC comic book in my hand and the originals were apparently all in b/w and not color. There's a great book on the whole EC phenomena which I think is in that link. I bought one at a Borders Books store a few years ago. A great read and it also has a complete episode guide for the whole series as well as the movies.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was going through the list that was the first one to catch my eye, just like with DVDs sometimes I enjoy the special features and behind the scenes info just as much if not more than the movies themselves, so that one looks like a must own for fans of the comics and or movie
