Tremors (1990)

The small desert town of Perfection is in for a shock when a prehistoric pack of subterranean sand worms is unearthed in TREMORS! TREMORS is a good old-fashioned monster movie that calls back to the 1950's B-movie classics like THEM and THE BLACK SCORPION. It stars Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward as a pair of quirky trash collectors that become the town's reluctant heroes as they battle the slimy Graboids. The special effects team employs many of the same creative techniques that were used as far back as in THE INVISIBLE MAN to bring the creatures to life from beneath the sand. When they do surface, the uniquely alien designs are unlike anything else in the genre. Newcomer Ron Underwood creates the perfect balance of fast-paced action, comedy, and horror that keeps the fun and excitement at an all-time high from start to finish. TREMORS is a campy cult classic that should be on every Horror fan's watch list!

Rating: 9/10.

  1. Always liked this movie. First saw it during a sleepover while in grade school and was freaked out. Once I was in high school I had a tape of it and watched it all the time. Great movie.

  2. This is one my son's favorite movies and would recommend it to anyone.

  3. Will I am with you, I have been watching this since I was in 2nd grade, love this movie and the sequel to death!

  4. This is a long time favorite of mine. The sequels not so much.

  5. Tremors just works on so many levels. It is a perfect blend of comedy and horror much like Shaun of the Dead.
