Tremors 3 (2001)

Although many feel that the series had already passed its prime, TREMORS 3 retains enough of the action, humor, and excitement to make it another worthy enough sequel. The Graboids have returned to the dusty old town of Perfection, and this time, military survivalist Burt Gummer is ready! Armed to the teeth with enough firepower to take down a small army, Burt sets out to destroy the creatures once and for all, but the one thing he didn't plan for was their third winged mutation... Brent Maddock brings back many familiar faces as he returns the worms to their desert home, with Michael Gross reprising his goofy role as the half-crazed gun nut Burt Gummer. Even without the help of Fred Ward, Gross is more than able to carry the film franchise with his crazy antics and invincible attitude. TREMORS 3 introduces several key story elements that give more depth to the characters and a new background into the creatures. Desert Jack's Graboid Safari is also a hilarious little addition to sneak in before the real action takes off. While it may not compare to the first two films, TREMORS 3 does as much as it can with the reduced budget to create another entertaining entry in the series!
